About Sean Corder

Sean was born in Huntington, WV but has been a resident of Myrtle Beach since 1978.
He is a graduate of Socastee high School and Coastal Carolina University where he
majored in business marketing. Upon graduation from CCU in 1999 Sean felt a calling to
the world of real estate and became a licensed agent in the spring of 2000.
Fresh out of real estate school he associated with the oldest and most respected company
in the area…HB Springs Commercial Real Estate. While there he was instrumental in
establishing the company as a market leader in the multi-family and income producing
real estate sector. During his tenure at HB Springs he worked diligently to hone his
marketing, negotiation, communication, and investment analysis skills.
Sean always had a dream to be involved in home development and that opportunity came
knocking in the spring of 2003. With an exploding Myrtle Beach real estate market he
recognized the opportunity to build condos that were targeted at the full-time resident
versus the vacation/second home resident that most condos had been built for previously.
He organized a partnership to begin condominium development in south Myrtle Beach
and obtained his South Carolina Broker’s license to start a new real estate company
which would handle the sale of the condos.
During the next three years Sean was directly responsible for the marketing and sales of
Bayview Golf Villas and Maddington Place — two multi-million dollar developments
totaling over 130 units. The booming market presented other opportunities in the form of
new home construction where he oversaw site and floor plan selection as well as the
marketing for the growing new home division.
After three very successful years, Sean recognized the need for independence and
decided it was time to begin his own company, Corder Properties – Real Estate &
Property Management. After selling his interest in his former company he retained the
annual property management division and struck out on his own.
As a result, Corder Properties, Inc. was founded in December of 2006. We are a
traditional full service real estate company offering general brokerage services through
seller listing and marketing, buyer representation, relocation assistance, annual rental
property management, and community HOA management.
Sean has worked diligently to maintain his impeccable reputation in the local market and
his driving force is honesty in everything that he does. Many of our clients are relocating
to the area and have no relationship with a Realtor for whom they can turn to for advice.

clients…so he is an avid reader of books and attendee of seminars where he learns to
implement the newest practices in the real estate business.
He has been an active member of Socastee Baptist Church for over 25 years where he has
served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and currently on the Board of Trustees. He
is also an active member of the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors, Better Business
Bureau, and the Surfside Beach Rotary.
